TANIA HAHN, CEO
Tania Hahn started Hahn Enterprises in 2001 because she wanted to make a difference in the lives of young people. It’s been her goal since then to give athletes a safe, inspiring place to play, while keeping fans comfy in the stands and bleachers. Every playground Hahn builds is a labor of love because she knows it will be a gathering spot for families and communities.
Tania was born in Washington DC and raised in Maryland. She came to New Orleans to study at Tulane University. In 1989 she graduated from Tulane with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. During college she worked part-time selling recreation equipment at a small uptown company. Upon graduation she went full time and then started her own company, Hahn Enterprises, in 2001.
Under Tania’s leadership, Hahn Enterprises has seen much success over the years. Sales have increased from $300,000 the first year, to over $8 million per year currently. The company gained its contractors license in Louisiana in 2001, expanded to Mississippi in 2008 and to Arkansas in 2015. Hahn is proud to have been named Dealer of the Year by Little Tikes Commerical, No Fault and Recreation Systems over the years.
Tania has been a board member of Friends of City park for the past 8 years and has served as the organization’s treasurer for the last 3 years. She is a past co-chairperson of Lark in the Park and the company is a corporate sponsor of City Putt. She is also a member of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Louisiana School Facility Managers Association, Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools, Police Jury Association, and Louisiana Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments, where she serves as secretary.
Tania loves the challenges every day brings! She says each project, big or small, has its own set of unique circumstances to navigate. She understands the customer has a goal and wants to help them achieve it, whether it be installing a small playground at their daycare center or a erecting a 2,500 seat bleacher for their football stadium. Tania passionately believes selling recreation and park equipment is a way to help make the world a better place.
Tania’s plans for the future of Hahn Enterprises include being more accessible to the next generation by keeping up with multi-media and technological advances. Her goal is to avoid becoming complacent by learning about and staying ahead of the trends. But mostly, she plans to keep offering great customer service, safe and affordable products, and making sure her customers know we are always there for them.
